The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul.

“Life begins the day you start a garden”

— Chinese proverb.

Sarah Adams Marr Dumas has been a passionate organic gardener since a child.  Alfred Austin describes exactly how I feel about gardening. I too think this applies to Spring Forest Qigong. That is why I think they both go hand in hand.

What I love about gardening is the peace, beauty and getting out into the sunshine, hands in the soil, nurturing something from seed to flower, fruit or vegetable.  It is a joy to harvest fresh, organic flowers, fruits and vegetables from our garden and enjoy them with family and friends.

I love sitting in the garden watching it grow.  In my opinion organic gardening is healthy and healing for the body, mind and soul.

Another joy about gardening for me is sharing it with others.  The community it creates by sharing ideas with other gardeners, trading hacks, tips, ideas, seeds, seedlings and so much more.

That is why I created Marrvelous Gardening podcast to connect with other liked minded gardeners to share ideas, successes, failures, funny stories and ideas and share them with you.  Whether you are a beginner gardener, intermediate or expert we all have something to share and learn from each other.  Gardening is an ever evolving art.

I talk with expert gardeners and designers to learn and share how to create a thriving, beautifully designed organic garden.  Whether you have a small space, container garden, grow inside or have a 1/4 of an acre or more there is something for everyone.

We talk about what to plant now, how to plan and design a garden for beauty and productivity.  Organic pest control solutions, how to compost even if you have a small space, what organic nutrients do tomatoes, roses, Japanese maple trees, fuchsias, lettuces, citrus trees etc like to thrive?  How much sun or what consenter works best?  How do I measure soil alkalinity and so much more!

I even talk with therapist, doctors of psychology, physical therapists to discover the healing effects of gardening for body, mind and soul.

For me gardening is truly a spiritual experience and it feeds not only my body and mind but also my soul.  How about you?
